Drainage to submandibular lymph nodes:
- submental nodes
- lateral part lower lip
- entire upper lip and external nose
- anterior tongue – usually ipsilaterally
- paranasal sinuses: frontal, anterior and middle ethmoidal, maxillary
- teeth (except lower incisors)
Drainage to submental lymph nodes:
- wedge of tissue in floor of mouth: opposite lower four incisors
- teeth, gums, lip and tip of tongue
Drainage from submental lymph nodes:
- submandibular lymph nodes
- upper deep cervical nodes
Caveat: Never trust a lymphatic.
