  • Cushingoid appearance
  • cataracts
  • easy bruising
  • immunodeficiency → fungal infections
    • may mask the symptoms and signs of infection (in which case a simple tachycardia in a patient taking corticosteroids takes on a renewed significance)
  • fatty infiltration of liver
  • osteoporosis and stress fracture of vertebrae
  • proximal myopathy
  • hypertension
  • adrenal (axis) suppression
  • growth inhibition
